Family Drum Class

During the summer of 2025, CMA held an interactive Family Drum Circle at Central Music Academy! This free community event was open to children of all ages (and their grown-ups!) and was a chance to make music together in a welcoming, high-energy environment. Participants brought their hands, heart, and sense of rhythm to create a fun night of music while connecting with others.

Chamber Strings Camp

CMA’s Chamber Strings Camp is held in June and is for students ages 10 to 18. It is free to students who qualify for free/reduced lunch; $100 for those who do not. Students must be able to read music and have at least 2 years of experience.

During the camp, each student explores new repertoire as part of a string quartet as well as a larger chamber ensemble. They receive instruction on technique, sight reading, music theory, and improvisation.

CMA will not be hold a strings camp in the summer of 2025.
