      <image:caption>Elizabeth Frodge is a Voice and Piano instructor and classically trained soprano. She received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her teaching philosophy is centered around the idea that encouragement and positive reinforcement are the best motivators for success. She strives to be adaptable and meet the needs of each individual student artist. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in her garden with her dogs and chickens.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Igor Bogdanic has been a Piano and Music Theory Teacher for over 20 years. He started his studies at professional Music School at the age of nine. After graduating Advanced Music School in 2001 he proceeds education at University of Nis, Faculty of Art in Eastern Europe and graduates in 2007. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Pedagogy. Mr. Bogdanic plays the Piano in wide variety of music genres such as Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock and World Music. Since 2004 he works as a Piano Teacher and in 2007 he works as a Conductor of School Orchestra and Arranger in Primary Music School. Many wins and prizes have been awarded to his Piano Students in different Piano Competitions and Music Festivals. Since 2011 he is an active member of LFMC (Lexington Federated Music Club) and Substitute Teacher for Fayette County Public Schools. Igor has been teaching Piano at Central Music Academy since 2013. He occasionally performs with local Acoustic and Jazz bands in Lexington, Kentucky.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About - Cara Thomas</image:title>
      <image:caption>Cara Thomas is a multi-woodwind performer and educator. She obtained degrees from the University of Tennessee at Martin (Bachelor’s of Music Education, 2009) and the University of Kentucky (Master’s of Music Performance, 2011) and studied with Miles Osland, Branford Marsalis, Bobby Shew, Pat LaBarbera, and James Moody. Since her international debut with Joe Lovano at the North Sea Jazz Festival, she has performed widely throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia including a notable performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Most recently, Cara has performed on the International Society for Improvised Music (ISIM) festival in Chateau d’Oex, Switzerland (July 2015). Cara specialized in saxophone throughout her schooling and continues to hold her beloved King Zephyr tenor, Selmer Series III alto, and Yanagisawa curved soprano saxophones exalted and rarefied, but for all that she developed a voice on the piano, clarinets, and flute as well. As a prominent educator, Cara has introduced music to hundreds of young beginners in central Kentucky. Her experience has consummated in an inclusive approach to teaching that aims to create self-sufficient readers who develop their own personal identity in sound.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Sara Scherbak is a native of Lexington, Kentucky.  She received her undergraduate degree in Music Education in 2011 from the University of Kentucky where she studied under Dr. Scott Wright and performed as principal clarinetist in the Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra.  Sara received her Master of Music in Music Therapy degree in 2018 from the University of Kentucky.  She has practiced as a board-certified music therapist in Fayette County Public Schools since 2015.  Sara has taught clarinet lessons at CMA since 2010.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Ross Whitaker is a guitarist, steel guitarist, and music educator based in Lexington, Kentucky. At home in a variety of styles, Ross has toured with Tyler Childers, recorded with Wycliffe Gordon, shared the stage with Bob Mintzer and Lorrie Morgan, and opened for artists such as Karl Denson, Brian Auger, Billy Joe Shaver, and Snarky Puppy. An educator since the early 2000s, he teaches guitar lessons at his private studio and at the nonprofit Central Music Academy. He is currently the jazz guitar instructor at the University of Kentucky.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Ethan Buell is a Teaching Assistant pursuing a DMA degree in viola performance at the University of Kentucky under the direction of Tze-Ying Wu. He received a master’s degree in viola performance at Colorado State University under the direction of Margaret Miller, and a Bachelor’s degree in viola performance from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University where he studied under Victoria Chiang. During both years of his time at Colorado State, Ethan adjudicated Colorado All-State seating auditions and ran viola sectionals. A lover of string quartet playing and chamber music, Ethan spent three summers at Madeline Island Chamber Music in Wisconsin where he enjoyed associating with outstanding students and learning from excellent faculty including Ivo-Jan van der Werff, Kirsten Docter, the Arianna String Quartet, the Shanghai string quartet, the Dover string quartet, the Jupiter string quartet, the Pacifica string quartet, and Brooklyn Rider. Ethan has also attended the Castleman Quartet Program in western New York State as well as the Domaine Forget International Music Festival in Quebec.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Daniel Monroy Reyes is a Mexican guitarist originally from Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua. He began his studies at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez with Professor Domingo Rodríguez and later with Dr. Ricardo Saeb. He continued his Bachelor of Music studies at the Faculty of Music of the Universidad Veracruzana, with teachers Consuelo Bolio and Alfredo Sánchez, and graduated with Mtro. Enrique Salmerón. He obtained his master’s degree in May 2023 at the University of Kentucky with Dr. Dieter Hennnings. He is pursuing his doctoral studies at the same institution as a teacher assistant. From 2017 to 2021, he was a guitar teacher for the Bachelor of Music program at the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ). He also taught programs such as “Programa de Iniciación Musical Infantil” (Children's Musical Initiation Program) and “Departamento de Bellas Artes” (Department of Fine Arts) for the community at the same university, teaching children from 5 to 17 years old and any age, respectively. He has been teaching guitar from 2008 to 2021 in these programs and music academies in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, and Xalapa, Veracruz. In 2024 he started teaching at Central Music Academy. He has received courses and master classes with the teachers William Kanengiser (USA), Eliot Fisk (USA), Sharon Isbin (USA), Alessio Nebiolo (Italy-Switzerland), Pablo Garibay (Mexico), Cecilio Perera (Mexico), Rodrígo Neftalí (Mexico), Marcin Dylla (Poland), Johan Fostier (Belgium), Martha Masters (USA), Jorge Caballero (Peru), to name just a few. He currently plays with a guitar by Mexican luthier David Arnoldo Rubio.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Zoë Highbaugh is a flutist based in Lexington Kentucky, pursuing her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance at the University of Kentucky. A versatile and dedicated musician, Zoë is a member of the UK flute studio, performing with the UK Wind Symphony and the UK Symphony Orchestra. In addition to her ensemble engagements, she is a passionate freelance performer. Zoë has participated in masterclasses with accomplished flutists such as Melissa Keeling and Eva Amsler and has been fortunate to receive recognition, including winning first place in the Flute Society of Kentucky’s KY Tribute competition. In addition to performing she enjoys teaching and maintains a small private flute studio.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Sierra Williamson is a Trumpet Instructor and performer. She is acurrent student obtaining a BM in Trumpet Performance at the University of Kentucky. She has studied with Jim Recktenwald, Jason Dovel, and Abby Temple. She teaches beginner/intermediate students in the Louisville and Lexington area. Performing nationally, including performing at the National Trumpet Competition in 2024, Sierra enjoys traveling and creating community for young musicians. As a teacher she aims to help students understand the message of pieces through musical understanding, context, and imagination. Specializing in classical and jazz she teaches basic fundamentals to create long lasting skills.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Adam Inouye is a percussionist based in the central Kentucky area. Adam Inouye currently studies under Dr. Matthew Geiger and Paul Deatherage at the University of Kentucky. He is an active percussionist, drummer, and timpanist performer in the area as well as a drum corps performer in the summer time (most notably with the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps). Adam also teaches private lessons in the Lexington area and works locally as a percussion instructor at Lafayette High School and Bourbon County High School.</image:caption>

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Kentucky and continued his training in vocal performance at the University of Michigan, where he deepened his expertise in classical repertoire, opera, and collaborative musicianship. Tanner has performed with Kentucky Opera, appearing in multiple productions and continuing to remain active in the regional performing arts community. Alongside his teaching and performance work, Tanner is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching with certification in Learning and Behavior Disorders, further strengthening his passion for inclusive, student-centered music instruction. He brings a blend of high-level musical training, real performance experience, and a compassionate teaching style to every lesson.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>During the summer of 2025, CMA held an interactive Family Drum Circle at Central Music Academy! This free community event was open to children of all ages (and their grown-ups!) and was a chance to make music together in a welcoming, high-energy environment.
